Washington D.C. – Today, Grace Meng received the enthusiastic endorsements of US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Héctor Figueroa, President of 32BJ SEIU.
A born and raised New Yorker, Senator Schumer has served in Congress for 37 years, 19 of which he’s spent in the Senate. He is in his first term as Minority Leader.
Héctor is a lifelong labor activist and organizer, who was elected President of 32BJ SEIU in 2012. 32BJ SEIU represents 163,000 cleaners, property maintenance workers, doormen, security officers, window cleaners, building engineers, and school and food service worker, making it the largest property service union in the nation.
